Summary of all you need to know about motion

Motion is the  change of position of a body with respect to time. It also involves how things move and what makes them to move.
Kinematics is the description of how objects move without regard to what forces that cause that motion to take place.
Dynamics deals with both the description and the forces behind the motion.
Types of motion
1. Random motion : This is an irregular movement of objects e.g brownian motion(movement observed when particles are suspended in water), smoke and dust particles in air, etc
2. Translational motion : This is a movement from one place to another without rotating. e.g a bee flying from one flower to another, etc
3. Rotational motion : By the name you will know that rotation is involved, this is a type of motion that all points of the object move in concentric circles, e.g rotation of the earth, the rotation of the blades of a fan, etc
4. Oscillatory or Vibratory Motion: Is a type of motion whereby the object moves to and fro, reversing the direction of its motion and returning regularly to its original position. e.g pendulum clock, Newton balls.
