To understand online tutorials depends on who is explaining to you, and your educational background/foundation in that course or subject. Also your zeal and determination matters, because the mind controls the body so if you are interested in knowing a topic, you will.
Now, when watching online videos, to avoid distraction and surrounding sounds; watch with headphones or earphones. Then watch an educational video twice, the first watch will give you idea of the topic, the second time you watch it, make sure you are with your writing materials to jot important things down. So that you won't forget it easily.
After studying a topic, find questions and examples under that topic and practice, because practice makes perfect.
